Gwinnett County Track and Field finals

Are we to place an asterisk on this meet? I had some free time and decided to see how the seeding compared to final times, and I had to scratch my head. For example: The Boys 200m dash had half of the top 8 seeds finishing out of the final eight. The girls were not as bad, but there are discrepancies there, too. I saw some funny seed times and final times in the 100m, too. But for simplicity, I just used these two events as an example.

The way the meet played out as a result of the weather just played right into the hands of a few teams.

Why don't we question these things?

Is there an ethical standard. I'm new to this area, particulary, high school track, so someone help me please.


By the way, I'm not bitter because several athletes I train did do well.
