Two members of South Gwinnett's track team competed this weekend in the Jimmy Carnes Track Meet at the University of Florida.
Kevin Gary finished 1st overall in the 400m with a time of 50.58 and a gold medal. Kevin finished 3rd overall in the 200m with a time of 22.61. Kevin was invited back to compete on Sunday in both events as part of the Rising Stars competition.

The Jimmy Carnes Indoor Meet has annouced its top competitors for the this weekend's 3rd annual meet and South's Kevin Gary is listed as one of the top runners for the 400m. Kevin has the fastest seed time going into the meet and it should make for an exciting meet. Kevin is also competing in the 55m and the 200m.

Here is the link to the qualifying standards for the Nike National Outdoor meet to be held in NC at NC A&T June 17-19, 2010.
This meet will have the best of the best of high school athletes in Track and Field from all over the country.
